About us
The Organ of Critical Art (okk) is a project that focuses on art at the interface between politics, protest and activism.
The okk/raum29 is used as a studio space, experimental and exhibition space and is a platform that offers local and international artists a surface for their artistic works within the framework of the expanded concept of art.
Exhibitions are presented at regular intervals, and to this end, art and culture makers from various genres are introduced. The focus is to be on the interdisciplinarity of art.
"We understand art as a plow for working the socio-political field in the sense of a civil, autonomous society, against reactionary tendencies such as racism, militarism, sexism, dogmas and fascism and all their inhumane forms of expression!"
The okk project group focuses its work on socially critical culture.
Art with cultural-political and socio-political themes and the range of critical modes of expression are to be mobilized and bundled. The aim is to create a network that enables its members to organize and present to the public the exchange and discussion in the political field on a neighborhood, national and meta-national level.
The platform should be a place of dialogue, which organizes new artistic and medial approaches of socio-critical culture and at the same time a conference and exhibition place for the publication and presentation of the experimental results.

Exhibition / Painting
The Berlin tattoo artist combines elements from various genres with his mixed media techniques. Coming from hip-hop and rap, travelling with the crews of well-known sprayers in Berlin’s neighbourhoods, DON has developed his work.
Spraying, tattoo’s & illustrations the main directions of his art are reflected in his painting.
Mixed techniques with acrylic, spray, varnish and epoxy, among others, are the results of the last three years of painting. It’s like a “kind of therapy” for him when he stands in front of the canvas – sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative, creating motifs from comics and illustrations.
But the best thing is to come to the vernissage and find out more about Don’s work in person.
The exhibition is open from Friday 26th of January ( Vernissage 7pm) until the 11th of February 2024
